LEARNING SUPPORT
Our Learning Support Co-ordinator works closely with teachers, children and parents to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to assist children in specific areas of learning such as handwriting, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and ASD.  The SEND Department also works with EAL pupils.  The school also works closely with the local authorities and families to support children with EHCPs.

Parents are closely involved in the development of their children’s learning at home and at school.

We believe that communication between all concerned is most important, therefore, regular reviews of the IEPs are held to ensure all parties are working together.

GIFTED AND TALENTED
The school endeavours to ensure those designated as ‘gifted and talented’ are appropriately challenged.

Dair House keeps identified pupils within their peer groups and normal classes. The ‘gifted’ programme is not divisive. Pupils are challenged through differentiation and accelerated work within their normal classes. Talented pupils in Sport, Art, Music or Drama may attend external lessons from time to time.
