Entry to Dair House School is open to any boy or girl, aged from rising 3 to 11, whom it is felt would fully utilise the opportunity of being educated here;  whose needs can be met; and whose attendance would not disadvantage any other child or adult.

You can make an appointment for a tour of the school, meet the Headmaster and see our fantastic children at work.  It really is the best way to gain a proper insight into the character and atmosphere of our unique school.  There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss your thoughts and feelings, to find out what you are looking for from your children’s future school and to learn what we can offer you to meet your educational needs.

If you are interested in pursuing your interest, the tour is then followed by a taster session.  For Year 1 to Year 6 a taster session is a whole day with their peer group and for Nursery and Reception it is one hour.  These sessions provide the children with an excellent opportunity to experience life here on a normal school day and to participate in all the usual activities.

We do not formally academically assess the children, but offers are subject to a successful taster day and receipt of satisfactory reports from previous schools where applicable.

If places are available, we can accommodate entry during the academic year, not only at the start of term in September.

Scholarships

Dair House offers Scholarships in recognition of current and potential talent.  Scholarships are awarded at 7+ for entry at Year 3.  Applications are welcome from external as well as internal candidates.  

The deadline for applications is 4th January 2023 with assessments taking place shortly after.
