At Dair House School, we pride ourselves on our exceptional pastoral care, which lies at the very heart of our school community. We believe in showing warmth and care to all our pupils, with the happiness and wellbeing of our children being our number one priority. We understand that happy children are ready to embrace learning, and our ethos is centered around the wellbeing of each child.
Our aim is to create an environment where children feel safe, relaxed, and happy. Under the diligent guidance of our Deputy Head Pastoral, Mrs. Haward, we ensure the day-to-day pastoral needs of our pupils are met with the utmost care and attention. Our dedicated staff team meets regularly to discuss and address any wellbeing issues, ensuring that we are always aware of each child's needs.
To provide a comforting and supportive space, we have a wellbeing room available during break times. This room offers a quiet retreat for children who prefer to step away from the hustle and bustle of outdoor play, allowing them to recharge and feel at ease.
Because of our small school size, we have the advantage of truly knowing and looking out for every child. This close-knit community allows us to monitor each child's wellbeing closely throughout their time at Dair House. Our staff members are committed to fostering a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
We are also delighted to collaborate with BRIYM (Building Resilience in Young Minds), an organisation passionate about promoting positive mental health and developing lifelong resilience. Through their engaging workshops, our students learn vital skills to cope with the challenges of an ever-changing world, empowering them to maintain a positive outlook and strong mental health.
At Dair House School, our pastoral care is more than just a support system; it is the foundation upon which we build our community. We are dedicated to ensuring that every child feels valued, understood, and cared for, making their time with us a truly enriching experience
