We believe that in an ever-changing world, it is increasingly important that young people are prepared in a positive way for the challenges that face the world and that they understand ways in which they can be a force for good and this is why at Dair House all children in Years 1-6 are taught Education for Social Responsibility (ESR).
ESR is aimed at instilling into the children a sense of responsibility, both for their surroundings and for other people, those they know personally and those who may live further afield. It is crucial for their future well-being, happiness, and safety. As our world becomes more interconnected, the significance of social responsibility grows, especially for the generations to come.
Our curriculum covers themes such as responsible consumerism, charity work, human rights and environmental issues to ensure our pupils become true global citizens.
